Director of Sales & Account Management

Real Thread is looking for a Director of Account Management! Are you passionate about building lasting relationships and providing exceptional customer experiences? We are seeking a skilled manager to join our team and take charge of developing, retaining, and nurturing customer relationships. In this role, you will have the following responsibilties:

Key Responsibilities: 

Team Management 

  • Lead team of Account Managers and Specialists to consistently deliver on the mini-milestones necessary to achieve daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly customer retention and new business sales goals.
  • Create personalized touchpoints throughout the customer journey to foster engagement and advocacy. This may include sending personalized communications, organizing customer appreciation events, or gathering feedback to improve our products and services.
  • Implement best practices, ensure organizational optimization, and provide training to facilitate Account Management team success
  • Maintain and continually refine a culture driven by being the industry leader in customer experience and satisfaction
  • Define and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) for each role on the team and provide daily accountability
  • Evaluate departmental capacity needs on an ongoing basis and coordinate/delegate workload efficiently and in accordance with given timelines
  • Take ownership of the revenue expectations and inspire the team to deliver consistent results 
  • Lead by example and actively work with the team. Provide required support and remove obstacles allowing deals to close and convert to revenue quickly

Customer Experience & Retention

  • Work closely with other departments, such as Marketing and Production, to ensure that customer feedback influences business strategies, allowing us to continually deliver a 6 star experience to our customers
  • Recognize opportunities to strengthen relationships, improve customer satisfaction, and drive revenue growth within our existing national customer base
  • Report on key account statuses, forecasting, and the identification of growth opportunities
  • Establish and fine-tune the account management processes and strategies for maintaining and expanding customer relationships
  • Spearhead the development of strategic plans to achieve sales targets through retaining customers, upselling, and exploration of new business opportunities within existing accounts

New Business

  • Monitor market, competition, and customer/team feedback to iterate sales approaches and refine effective value propositions
  • Continually refine systems for working with inbound leads to create efficient, replicable strategies for closing new business and meeting weekly goals
